my favorite maid kink story, has a layer of mental corruption too, is really cute and gay but also has some heavy emotions that hit really well and it's the kind of story that could only be written by a gay transfem with some mental health stuff going on and I mean that as a term of endearment and affection because gay transfems with some mental health stuff going on write the best (and most relatable) stuff
Worm
a superhero story that goes really really hard on the superpowers are metaphors for trauma angle, and pulls it off amazingly. Which also means that the trauma and trauma responses are written very viscerally constantly. The main character insists she's straight for the entire story while being incredibly overtly gay, including kissing her girl friends. The best character has dog girl autism and gets kissed by the protagonist! Yes it's like one bit in a 1.4 million word story but it happens and no amount of the author having characters talk directly to the fourth wall and say "I am very straight" will counter that. CW: graphic violence, bullying, body horror, death, sexual assault, panic attacks, racist caricatures, dogs dying, children dying, members of the main cast dying, and more... If you can stomach all that please read.
