Is one of my favorite wormfics! It's a butcher Taylor story where on her first night out she becomes the butcher and things spiral out of control. The butcher characters are fun, and it's nice watching Taylor slowly get corrupted by them. Plus its gay with Taylor getting a girlfriend and there's sooo much nazi killing. It's nice to see the nazis treated as nazis and not how they got portrayed in worm. Plus the action is cool, and some of the scenes are just fantastically fun.

Is another top contender for favorite worm fic. Taylor loses her dad and instead of triggering she exalts as a solar exalted! Since it happens very similarly to a trigger event no one notices the difference. Taylor starts aiming to take down the ABB for her dad's death and along the way ends up helping out a bunch of other worm characters. Not to mention ace representation, and poly? and lesbians?! The only downsides are that it's a wards fic and also unfinished.

A spectacular wormfic, and one of the few that doesn't take place with the usual characters nor in brockton bay! Plus it has a transfem main character! What I love is the worldbuilding of worm AU Detroit, it's got so many factions and they're actual people too not racist classist caricatures of criminals. Worm is ripe for such good characterization because of the way powers form and it's clear everyone has their trauma along with their powers, maybe not as visceral of depictions as worm but still there.

It's well written and full of interesting ideas and just a good story, do read!

Gosh this is such a good story. Danny died and Annette lived. Taylor has scars and seizures and the story slowly starts to unravel this mystery of what the heck is going on, and it has such good pay off. Annette is such an amazing character, flawed but you can see her trying to do her best with a really shitty situation. Taylor is also a lesbian, and also very neurodivergent in a lot of relatable ways. It tackles being queer in a city full of super nazis well, handles the racial stuff with a thousand times more grace than worm (not that it's hard) and unlike the first three recs it really does have that deeply traumatized writer/characters vibe that made worm special.

Oh Gosh endbringer fics are the best. This one has Taylor gaining leviathan's powers, right when leviathan dies which makes everything rapidly go south so fast. This one nails depression and hopelessness and trust issues and becoming deeply unhealthily attached and dependent on the first person to show you compassion and kindness when everything is going wrong. Also it's gay. unfortunately unlikely to finish but it's gooooood!

Another endbringer fic but this one's different. So different. Khepri the endbringer is acting very strange compared to the others, and just it's so good, it's unlikely to ever finish but amazing!

Taylor has Night's power and this shard made her a sociopath, or psychopath? She lacks empathy and compassion but she's still trying to do good! It feels like its written by someone who understands sociopathic mindsets and doesn't demonize it, and yet at the same time it's Taylor Hebert so obviously things go very poorly. Also it has Cherish as her partner in crime and sort of love interest? Queerplatonic partnership? It's great, it's a mess, please read!

Taylor is a werewolf, and she meets Rachel and uhm 🥺🥺🥺 it's gay, they are autism dog girl Rachel and her werewolf pet Taylor and it's definitely got pet play vibes which is just 🥺🥺🥺

Lisa has a sister AU, with the sister being the main character! Lot of folks give Taylor siblings but Lisa got one! is a fun story of them reuniting, and also Faultline's crew. check it out!
